Associate Professor

Short Bio

I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Molise (UNIMOL), in the Division of Computer Science of the Department of Biosciences and Territory (DiBT). 

I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, from the University of Salerno, Italy. Before joining the University of Molise, I have been a Lecturer in Cyber Security at the University of Southampton, UK and previously at the University of Surrey, UK. I have been a member of both Surrey and Southampton Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research recognised by the UK Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). Before joining the University of Surrey, I have been a Post-Doctorate Fellow at the following institutions: School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK; Department of Computer Science, University of Salerno, Italy;  Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA; Security and Privacy Applied Research Group, Johns Hopkins University, USA. 

I am the recipient of a EPSRC New Investigator Award and recipient of a Microsoft Azure Internet of Things Research Award. I am a member of the IFIP WG 11.3 Working Group on Data and Applications Security and Privacy, I have served as program committee member of various international conferences and I am Associate Editor for IEEE Transaction on Dependable and Secure Computing.

Research Interests

My research interests include applied cryptography, computer security and formal methods for security.
