RESEARCH INTEREST

My researches are concentrated on natural vegetation and vascular flora: ecology, chorology, cenology, distribution  and genetic aspects.

The topics researches are  in  the study of intra- and interspecific variation in genus Quercus using an integrated approach: macro and micro-morphology analysis, geometric morphometric analysis and molecular  analysis.  I have been concentrating on the role of morphological data for  examining broad scale patterns of biodiversity in relation to species discovery patterns.

I am interested in the use of molecular analysis: in species-level problems including species delimitation and classification, interspecific hybridization, geographical patterns of species diversification.
