1981 - Single-cycle degree in Biological Sciences from Alma Mater Studiorum - Bologna (full marks), with a 2-year internship at the Gastroenterology Department of Sant'Orsola Hospital

1983 - Advanced training in Zoo-prophylaxis at the School for Scientific Research of Brescia (1983, full marks and thesis publication).

1985 - Single-cycle degree in Natural Sciences (University of Camerino, 1985).

1995 -  Specialization in Microbiology and Virology from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at Sapienza University (summa cum laude, Rome, 1995).

Role

Tenured Researcher (RTI) and aggregate professor (2005) in the Scientific Disciplinary Sector VET 05. After retiring (01.11.2024), she is a professor under contract for academic years 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.

Institutional Role

Delegate for the Third Mission of the Department of Agriculture, Food, and Environment (DiAAA).

Scientific Activity

Research conducted using the One Health approach in the study of infectious diseases in livestock animals and foodborne zoonoses subject to eradication and control programs.

Research Projects

Noteworthy are the experimentation projects involving an innovative immunoenzymatic method, of which the individual is the primary inventor, carried out in collaboration agreements with IHCP - JRC - DG - EC.
